Steel Mill & Foundry Waste
Yava has developed an innovative, economic and sustainable solution mining technology to recover zinc and lead from one of the most untapped and overlooked sources of zinc in the world.
This novel technology recovers lead and zinc from steel and foundry industry dust, mineral deposits, tailings, concentrates, sludge and head ore as value added products.
Given that lead and zinc generally concomitantly exist and there is no known commercially viable technology to date to recover lead and zinc from their respective minerals without using smelting operations, Yava’s technology represents a pioneering approach to recover these metals in an environmentally friendly way.
